Community Outreach Mobile Unit
SCHAC maintains a Community Outreach Mobile Unit, where the mission of the Mobile Outreach Unit is to provide HIV/STI screening services within hard to reach and high-risk communities. This multipurpose unit is equipped with a CLIA waived laboratory and has the ability to administer screenings in a confidential setting. The Mobile Unit staff are certified phlebotomist trained to conduct blood draws when needed. Mobile Unit visits within local communities come with free HIV/STI information, confidential risk reduction counseling, safer sex barriers, incorporating refreshments, music, and raffle prizes, all done in a compassionate manner.
