Dr. Jacob P. White - Deputy Director

Dr. White received his early education in Sumter, South Carolina.  In pursuit of his dream to become a physician, Dr. White attended The University of South Carolina  majoring in Biology.  After graduating from South Carolina College, the honors college at the University of South Carolina, Dr. White entered The Medical University of South Carolina.  In recognition of the connection between mind and body, he pursued training in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine.  Although clinical medicine provides great interest, public health is the chosen service are of Dr. White, especially around the area of HIV/AIDS.  Currently, Dr. White serves as Deputy Director/Intervention specialist for the South Carolina HIV/AIDS Council.  Each day he hopes to touch and assist in the empowerment of lives to help better decisions around sexual health to be made.
