Our Mission
The South Carolina HIV/AIDS Council (SCHAC) is an organization dedicated to developing strategies to reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS and improve the quality of life of African Americans and citizens throughout South Carolina impacted by the human immunodeficiency virus.
Our Priorities
SCHAC reflects its priorities by committing its resources, skills and services to all persons, regardless of gender, age, race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or lifestyle.
Our Values
Reducing new HIV infections must be the mission of communities and families throughout the state. SCHAC strategies address needs and concerns of persons who are not infected with or carrying the virus which causes AIDS. This means reviewing existing conditions, mobilizing community efforts, and creating prevention and outreach programs that work.
